Many families are struggling right now, and high tax rates only add insult to injury. As a city, our property tax rate has remained stagnant for more than 10 years and is now among the highest in the Rio Grande Valley. This is unacceptable and not what Edinburg residents deserve. If elected as your next mayor, it’s my mission to work diligently with fellow city administration and councilmen to lower your property tax rate and to ensure that budgets are being allocated appropriately across the board.
